Competitive Skate

CompetitiveSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, freeskate and artisitic skating. Unique in Canada, this program teaches figure skating in a group and/or private lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner.

Experienced Figure Skaters

Different from StarSkate, CompetitiveSkate skaters will be required to to skate 2+ days a week and participate in at least 1 competition a year.

Why Sign up for Competitive Skate?

Skaters will also have the opportunity to take part in Skate Canada assessments through a nationally standardized assessment system. Skaters will work individually or in a small group with a coach(es) of their choosing. On their sessions, CompetitiveSkate skaters will be guaranteed a lesson with their coach(es) or an arranged coach. With this coach(es), they will develop skills, goals and training pathways. What do you need to participate?

All you need are skates, a CSA-approved hockey helmet, long pants, mittens, warm sweater or jacket. Dress in layers - it will get warm!
